This past weekend I joined some of my old colleagues from Jays Journal on their new(ish) podcast venture: The Jays Nest.
It was the ‘Minor League’ edition of their show, so, of course, they called on luminaries such as myself and my co-author (he wrote a lot more than I did) of last year’s Toronto Blue Jays Minor League Handbook, Jay Blue.
After a spirited and wide-ranging conversation about the farm we were lucky enough to be joined by ex-Vancouver Canadian and 2012 Northwest League champion Arik Sikula. Arik gives some excellent insight on what it’s like to be a minor league baseball player, including his recent experiences in Venezuela.
And because they are doing the Nest on Google Hangouts, you can actually see us talking!! So, to explain the toque. I’d been giving the boys back east a bit of stick on how nice it was in Vancouver but for solidarity sake, I’d cover my ears. What a great guy.
